Before rococo and after baroque styles, there was a transitional style called Régence. Charles Cressent was the leader of this style, and he was the one who made ormolu mounts much more important than the marquetry decoration in the French furniture.
This exquisite commode handmade of natural wood, decorated decently with brass ornaments from head to toe, even the handles of three drawers. It has a very shiny smooth look as it is inlaid with natural veneer, a piece of marble on top and four cabriole legs.
