Louis XVI’s era was a fine mix between rococo and neoclassicism styles. In 1770, there was a turning point between the styles, when a set of successive canvases painted by a rococo artist, were excluded and replaced by another one that was made by a neoclassicist.
This breathtaking set of nesting tables goes back to Louis XVI style, smoothly they are decorated with natural marquetry on top, and their tapered legs are veneered and ormolu mounted.
